Dinghies are often made of fiberglass, a material that does not decompose. When disposed of in a landfill, they take up valuable space and can release harmful chemicals into the environment. 

The best way to dispose of an old dinghy is to find a new owner who will appreciate it as much as you did. You can also donate your dinghy to a local sailing club or youth group. If Re-Homing proves impossible, the second best alternative is to bring the dinghy to our recycling center. There, the dinghy will be broken down and the materials will be recycled. This is the most responsible way to dispose of a dinghy and it doesn’t cause much harm to the environment. If you cannot bring the boat over to us, we can remove the dinghy from your property and help to find the best way of disposal of the old craft.

Some people might think that they can just throw their dinghy in the trash, but that’s not the right thing to do.
