Afloat in Torpoint/Sandown
'Pleiades' is a Hilliard 2.5tonner, and 18ft Gaff rigged boat with a wooden build. This was the smallest design by David Hilliard, who designed a range of wooden yachts. Although this one comes without, they are known to be trailered, due to their shallow full keel design. These boats were not known for their speed, but have been praised in recent decades for the hardiness and elegance.
This boat comes with one mainsail and 2 foresails. She also is reported to come with two engines: 1x 4hp Stuart Turner inbooard, and 1x 4hp Mariner outboard. Her stunning wooden mast is also said to have been replaced within the past half a decade. We have been told the prt side of the cabin has recently been repaired due to waterlogging when her winter cover was put over. We must also the last known time she was taken out the water was six year ago. She has been kept on a drying berth.
