Afloat in Plymouth

'Carina' is a 24ft fin keel boat built in the late 1970's. She berths 5 and is known an all-round cruiser. Fortunately, the Seamaster 815 class still has a strong owners association, with an up to date website with FAQ's and information databases. She has been sat on her existing mooring for 18months, and as such has gained a few resolvable problems that will need to be addressed by the new owner:

The cockpit drains have become blocked, causing water ingress into the cabin during the heavy rain we have been having. The current owner resolves this by manually pumping out the water, but it will want to be resolved in the long run. She is noted to have a small fixable leak in the bow, which allows a very small amount of water to enter through the anchor locker. She comes with a set of sails described as fair condition.

Her Yanmar 1gm can be seen running on our Facebook page.

The boats is currently afloat on a river mooring as seen in the photographs, The mooring is to expire within the next month, but can be taken over by the new owner (Approx £1,300 per year).
