1964 Ex-Fishing boat 'Etoile'

the boat was purchased about 17 years ago and was in a similar state as now. However, many thousands were spent removing the vivier tank and turning it into a pleasure craft. Since the owner became ill the boat has been left to degrade unfortunately. There is no engine or gearbox in the boat.

The hull is sound, but there is no engine and the boat must be moved.

The boat is afloat in Salcombe.
The mooring is not suitable for a liveaboard.
 

The Survey says:

• ‘Étoile’ was built as a wooden motor fishing vessel in 1964 in France. The hull was of traditional displacement form with carvel planked sides, a long keel and modest draft. She began fishing duties in the UK in May 1981 before retiring from commercial use in May 2003. Since converted to domestic use, she has undergone several periods of refit and cruising.
• Internal layout from the stern comprised a modest full width double berth, single side berths, ladder starboard side up to the wheel house, door leading forward into engine room, door leading to saloon area with single side berths to port and starboard, small galley to starboard, saloon table to port, heads to starboard and steps up to the foredeck. She could sleep 6 in comfort and 8 if doubling up on the larger berths. Wheelhouse layout had small seating area aft with hatch to accommodation below, doors opening onto both side decks, central steering wheel, Captain’s seat to port and crew seat to starboard.
